MINSK, 29 December (BelTA) – Four-time Olympic champion Darya Domracheva and her spouse Ole Einar Bjoerndalen will take part in the Christmas biathlon race in Gelsenkirchen, Germany on 29 December, BelTA has learned.
The event will be held at Veltins-Arena. Taking part in the competitions will be many legendary athletes: Darya Domracheva and Ole Einar Bjoerndalen, Russia’s Ekaterina Yurlova-Percht and Anton Shipulin, Franziska Preuss and Simon Schempp from Germany, Ukraine’s Yuliia Dzhima
and Artem Pryma, Italy’s Dorothea Wierer and Lukas Hofer.Darya Domracheva will compete in the Christmas race for the second time. In 2009 she took part in it together with Dominik Landertinger. Belarus was represented by Olga Nazarova and Alexei Aidarov in 2002 and by Olena Zubrilova and Vladimir Drachev (the current head of the Russian Biathlon Union) in 2004.
