PYEONGCHANG, 22 February (BelTA) – Darya Domracheva of Belarus became the first female biathlete to win four Olympic gold medals, BelTA has learned.
On 22 February the athlete graced the top of the podium together with her teammates of the Olympic PyeongChang Women’s Relay. Darya Domracheva also won three gold medals at the 2014 Sochi Games (in pursuit, mass start and individual). By the number of Olympic golds she has surpassed German biathlete Kati Wilhelm and Anastasiya Kuzmina of Slovakia.
Darya Domracheva also won the Mass Start silver in PyeongChang and Individual bronze in Vancouver in 2010.
