MINSK, 20 March (BelTA) – Belarus number one Darya Domracheva claimed the 7.5K bronze at the final leg of the World Cup in Khanty Mansiysk, Russia, BelTA has learned.
Darya Domracheva finished in 20:04.6 with two penalties, 15.5 seconds behind the winner, Kaisa Makarainen of Finland, who covered the distance in 19:49.1 with one missed target. Silver went to German’s Laura Dahlmeier, 14.2 seconds back, one penalty.
Today’s win reduced the gap in IBU World Cup standings between Kaisa Makarainen and Darya Domracheva to 9 points. The Belarusian goes with the total of 1,005 points, while the Finnish keeps 996 points.
As for other Belarusians that took part in today’s Sprint event, Nadezhda Skardino finished 15th, 1:27.5 back, one penalty, Nadezhda Pisareva was 18th, 1:38.3 back, two penalties, Anastasia Duborezova (three penalties) and Irina Krivko (two penalties) shared the 34th place, both 2:09 behind the winner.
In the IBU World Cup table Nadezhda Skardino goes 17th with 442 points, Nadezhda Pisareva 40th (168), Anastasia Duborezova 49th (122), and Irina Krivko 54th (100).
