MINSK, 18 April (BelTA) – The veterans and famous athletes of Belarus’ Sports and Physical Training Society Dinamo were honored in a ceremony at the Belarusian National Olympic Committee (NOC) on 18 April on the occasion of the society’s 95th anniversary, BelTA has learned.
The event was attended by many famous Dinamo members: four-time Olympic champion Elena Belova, three-time Olympic champion in canoeing and kayaking Vladimir Parfenovich, Olympic champion, canoeist Alexander Bogdanovich, Olympic champion in gymnastics Marina Lobach, honored football coach Eduard Malofeyev. The sportsmen were honored with precious awards and certificates of merit.
Secretary General of the Belarusian NOC George Katulin noted that the Dinamo Society is still one of the leaders in Belarus’ sports industry and maintains the traditions of physical training movement that started in the early 20th century.
