BREST, 16 July (BelTA) - The legend of the world football, Chairman of the Board of FC Dinamo Brest, Diego Maradona arrived in Brest by a charter flight from Moscow where he attended the 2018 FIFA World Cup final match. At the airport he was welcomed with bread and salt by representatives of the club, city authorities, BelTA has learned.

Diego Maradona’s program is packed. He is scheduled to give his first Belarusian press conference in The Hermitage Hotel at 18h00. About 90 journalists from various publications and information agencies from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Lithuania, and France have been accredited for the press conference, spokeswoman for FC Dinamo Brest Olga Khizhinkova said.

Diego Maradona is set to get familiar with the club and to attend the match Dinamo Brest vs Shakhter Soligorsk. He is also expected to address the audience with greeting words before the game that will start at the Brestsky stadium at 20h45.

As it was reported, Argentinean Diego Maradona signed a three-year contract to join the Belarusian club Dinamo Brest as their new chairman. He will oversee the strategic development of the club and all its structural units, including the children's academy.
