GOMEL, 1 April (BelTA) – Over 20 delegations of children’s peacekeeping associations of Belarus and Russia will take part in the 9th international festival Life-Giving Water of Friendship which is due in Gomel on 2-4 April, BelTA learnt from head of the department for children’s and youth organizations and associations of the Gomel Oblast Palace of Children’s and Youth Creativity Galina Mayorova.
The forum will be held with the participation of the Belarusian Association of UNESCO Clubs. The oblast center will bring together participants of the UNESCO clubs from Gomel, Minsk, Brest, Grodno, Mogilev, Zhlobin, Mozyr, student associations from the Palaces of Children and Youth of Moscow, Sevastopol, Bryansk and Smolensk.
The program of the festival will comprise cultural and educational events: an exhibition of wall newspapers on the Memory of the Great Patriotic War in My Family, an excursion to the Gomel Oblast Museum of Military Glory, the Voice of the Youth game, the Bridge of Friendship meeting, the announcement of the results of the 3rd open oblast contest of training programs "UNESCO: Education, Science, Culture", and any more.
The forum is aimed at forming a civil stand among young people, popularize the UN and UNESCO activity.
The festival will elaborate new solutions to youth issues and outline plans for further cooperation between children’s and youth organizations, Galina Mayorova said.
