MINSK, 9 November (BelTA) – Minsk will host the Days of Latvia from 10 November to 10 December, BelTA learned from the organizers.
The Days will open with the first Latvian-Belarusian tourism business forum on 10 November. The participants in the forum will be informed about the tourism products offered in Riga, Jurmala, and the regions of Semigallia, Courland, Latgale, and Vidzeme. Attending the event will be Latvian Economy Minister Arvils Aseradens, Director of the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) Andris Ozols, representatives of the Belarusian Sports and Tourism Ministry, the National Tourism Agency, Belarusian and Latvian businessmen.
Latvian chefs will demonstrate unique dishes of the Latvian national cuisine on 11 November. Apart from that, different stores in Minsk will host presentations of Latvian food products throughout the following month.
The key areas of the cooperation between Belarus and Latvia are trade, woodworking, innovations, advanced technology, transit transportation, and joint implementation of investment projects. Latvia’s major exports to Belarus include chemical and food products, machinery and mechanisms, transportation services (air, road transport), tourism and commercial services (construction, information, computer and communication services).
