Concert in Paris celebrates 500th anniversary of Belarusian book printing
MINSK, 18 October (BelTA) – A concert of the Youth Symphony Orchestra of the Belarusian State Academy of Music dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the Belarusian book printing was held at La Madeleine Church, one of the most famous cathedrals in Paris, on 17 October, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in France.
The concert was attended by more than 200 people: representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Paris, the Belarusian Diaspora, and residents of Paris.
The church regularly hosts concerts of classical music featuring famous symphony orchestras from all over the world.
The event was held with the support of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Culture of Belarus and the Franco-Belarusian musical associations “Life in Music”. Well-known Belarusian musician Andrei Kovalinsky also took part in the concert.
