GOMEL, 17 September (BelTA) – The exposition “The Heavenly Empire. Art and Culture of China” will open at the Gomel Palace of the Rumyantsevs-Paskeviches on 17 September, BelTA learnt from Director of the museum of the palace Oksana Toropova.
The exposition that will occupy several halls will feature arts and crafts, national costumes, photography, and traditional Chinese painting guohua.
The majority of the exhibits have been provided by the Embassy of China in Belarus as well as by a representative of the Palace of Culture of Rail Workers in Zhengzhou, Henan Province.
The expo will display a wide range of Chinese traditional decorative arts, including bronze items, copper vases, weaving masterpieces, and paper works.
The multinational China (56 nationalities live in the country) is a true treasury of the national costume culture. Visitors of the expo will have an opportunity to make photos in one of the costumes on display.
The Chinese painting art guohua will also attract much attention. The showcased works include masterpieces of modern Chinese artists made in china ink with the use of mineral paints.
