MINSK, 16 January (BelTA) – A group of 144 children from Syria have come to Minsk on recuperation holidays, BelTA learned from spokeswoman for the Education Ministry of Belarus Lyudmila Vysotskaya.
The Syrian children will spend their holidays at the National Education and Recuperation Center Zubrenok from 15 to 29 January, in line with the agreement reached in late 2017 during the meeting between the Belarusian president and the Syrian social affairs and labor minister.
The program of the project will include health-improving, sports and cultural events. The Syrian children will visit the Naroch Krai, the National Art Museum of Belarus, the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater, Nemo dolphinarium, the national historical and cultural museum-reserve Nesvizh, Mir Castle, and the agro-tourist center Nanosy-Novoselye. The program will also include an excursion entitled the Cultural Heritage of Belarus.
