MINSK, 17 July (BelTA) – The Belarusian State University confirmed its Shanghai ARWU-Physics position, landing in group 401-500, BelTA learned from the university.
The country’s leading university made it into the top 500 universities of ARWU in 2017. This year the university confirmed its status.
ARWU uses five criteria to rank world universities, including scientific activity, citation index, international cooperation, materials published by universities in the most prestigious scientific journals, scientific awards and international awards.
The Shanghai Subject Ranking ranks universities in 52 subjects including natural sciences, engineering, social, life and medical sciences. Over 4,000 universities have been so far reviewed.
The Belarusian State University is also ranked high in other well-known world rankings (QS, THE, Webometrics, SIR, U-Multirank and others).
