MINSK, 1 September (BelTA) – This year the fourth edition of the Belarus-Brazil urban art festival Vulica Brasil expanded its reach into the Minsk metro, BelTA learned from the website of the Minsk Metro.
At first Brazilian artists sent drawings of a metro car design to the Minsk City Hall. They suggested one side of the car should represent the sunny Brazil while the other one should feature Belarusian motifs and Minsk landmarks.
The graffiti artists turned the project into reality within several days after the city authorities approved it. The metro car decked out in the Brazilian colors will enter service on 4 September and will serve the second line of the Minsk metro.
The urban art festival Vulica Brasil is a traditional cultural project organized by the Brazilian embassy in Belarus.
