MINSK, 16 August (BelTA) – The books of Chinese poetry in Belarusian will be donated to the Belarusian Culture Center in Beijing, BelTA learned from the Information Ministry.
The books that include Chinese poems translated into Belarusian for the first time make part of the Bright Signs: Poets of China series and the anthology of the Chinese poetry of the 20th century Petals of Lotus and Golden Daisy.
One of the latest books from the Bright Signs: Poets of China series has been published by Mastatskaya Litaratura. The collection includes poems of well-known Chinese poet Su Shi, whose works are published in Belarus as a separate book for the first time. The presentation of the book will take place at the 25th Beijing International Book Fair (BIBF 2018) which is due in Beijing on 22-26 August.
The library of modern Belarusian literature will be donated to the Belarusian Culture Center in Beijing.
The donation of Belarusian books will be held as part of the visit of the Belarusian delegation to China for the participation in Beijing International Book Fair. The delegation will be led by Deputy Information Minister Igor Buzovsky. The delegation will comprise heads of the Belarusian publishing houses such as Mastatskaya Litaratura, Narodnaya Asveta, Pachatkovaya Shkola, and Belkniga.
