According to BelAZ representatives, for the first time the company demonstrated abilities of the robot (unmanned) dump truck BelAZ 75131 coupled with a frontal loader BelAZ 78250. The company also demonstrated steering and driving capabilities of the BelAZ 75710 mine dump truck, which can carry 450 tonnes of cargo.

According to the source, BelAZ continues modernizing the manufacturing process, installing high-tech equipment, and building a modern painting division. The efforts allow OAO BelAZ to improve the quality of products and master the production of new vehicles that better suit needs of customers.

In the last three years specialists of BelAZ’s R&D division in association with academic institutions and universities of Belarus and Russia have developed a number of science-intensive projects. Three of the projects were demonstrated to participants of the science and technology conference. The first project expanded the possible applications of the electromechanical transmission for mine dump trucks with a lower carrying capacity. The second project is a BelAZ robot truck, which is capable of carrying 130 tonnes of cargo along a designated route. The vehicle relies on a high-precision satellite navigation system facilitated by GPS/GLONASS. The third project is the mine dump truck BelAZ 75710 with the highest possible carrying capacity.

The conference BelAZ 2015: Real-Time Development was focused on discussing ways to improve the effectiveness of cooperation between the Belarusian automaker, partners, who supply components, BelAZ customers, and scientific organizations, which research products are implemented in new BelAZ vehicles. The forum gathered representatives of 23 countries, where BelAZ vehicles are used. On the first day of the conference negotiations were held with representatives of mining companies and related enterprises. The conference has been organized by the public joint-stock company BelAZ, the managing company of BelAZ Holding.

The Zhodino-based automobile engineering company BelAZ was founded in September 1948. In 2010 BelAZ was reincorporated into a public joint stock company (OAO). In September 2012 BelAZ became the managing company of BelAZ Holding. BelAZ is the world’s top manufacturer of mine dump trucks with a large carrying capacity and an extremely large carrying capacity as well as other heavy transport equipment used by the mining industry and the civil engineering industry.
