MINSK, 29 July (BelTA) – The first Belavia aircraft bearing the World of Tanks livery has landed in the Minsk National Airport, BelTA has learned.
Tanks represent the key component in the game. One tank is painted on the aircraft as an ornamental pattern. The aircraft itself is black with orange insets, a rare sight as well. Organizers of the event underlined that repainting an aircraft with a unique livery is quite a rare occurrence. It is the first project of the kind for the Belarusian air carrier Belavia and the game development studio Wargaming. Demonstrating that the world famous game originates in Belarus is the main idea of the branded livery.
The painting process used up 300 liters of paint and 450m2 of stencils. As many as 13 specialists were involved in the process. They spent 1,800 employee hours, working 24/7 at a factory in Czechia.
The aircraft with the World of Tanks livery will be used for all lines serviced by Belavia. The first line will be Minsk-Moscow-Minsk.
Belavia is Belarus’ largest air carrier. At present the company offers regular flights to 47 destinations in 28 countries in Europe and Asia.
World of Tanks is a massive multiplayer online game fully focusing on armored fighting vehicles of the mid-20th century. People from all over the world play the game. World of Tanks has been created by the internationally recognized game development studio Wargaming that was founded in Belarus in 1998.
