MINSK, 26 September (BelTA) - The Belarusian air carrier Belavia has received five starts for the quality of services in the Official Airline Ratings of the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX), BelTA learned from the website of the association.
Airlines were categorized as Global Airlines, Major Regional Airlines, and Low-Cost Carriers. The Belarusian air carrier has been awarded the maximum five-star rating in the Major Regional Airlines category alongside Bangkok Air, Air Astana, Caribbean Airlines, and Virgin Australia.
Based in the United States, APEX has been elevating the airline passenger experience for more than 40 years. The association makes up a network of companies and specialists aiming at providing world-class services on the whole air service market. This year APEX evaluated over 470 companies from all over the world.
Belavia is Belarus’ largest air carrier. Based in the Minsk National Airport, the air carrier offers regular flights from Minsk to 49 destinations in 28 countries. The company operates a fleet of 26 aircraft, including five Boeing 737-800, six Boeing 737-500, seven Boeing 737-300, two Embraer 175, two Embraer 195, and four CRJ100 and CRJ200.
