MINSK, 20 May (BelTA) – Maksim Tank Belarusian State Pedagogical University (BSPU) signed a cooperation agreement with Jizzakh State Pedagogical Institute, Uzbekistan (JSPI), BelTA learned from the BSPU press service.
The cooperation between the two universities was established on the initiative of the two rectors – BSPU Rector Aleksandr Zhuk and his JSPI Rector Shavkat Sharipov. The agreement provides for setting up a faculty of joint educational programs that will offer students from Uzbekistan to major in logopedics and practical psychology. The parties are also interested in exchange programs for students and teachers, internships, advanced training courses in both institutions, joint research in pedagogy and psychology, and joint methodological seminars in all pedagogical areas.
Representatives of the two institutions held an online meeting on 20 May. The agenda included entrance exams to the faculty of joint educational programs and harmonization of curricula.
The BSPU is actively expanding cooperation with higher education institutions of Uzbekistan. In September 2018, a Belarus-Uzbekistan educational center and a joint faculty of innovative pedagogics opened at Nizami Tashkent State Pedagogical University. The faculty offers such majors as logopedics, practical psychology, pre-school education, and elementary education.
