BREST, 10 October (BelTA) – The Baranovichi State University has signed a cooperation agreement with the Nanchang Institute of Technology, BelTA learned from Vladimir Klimuk, Prorector for Science of the Baranovichi State University.
The agreement provides for cooperation in various areas. In particular, the partners intend to advance cooperation in information systems and technologies, the automation of manufacturing processes. “The Nanchang Institute of Technology puts a lot of effort into mechatronics studies. It is a rather new branch for us. We are going to adjust the curricula, programs, which will allow training more professional specialists for this promising economy branch,” noted Vladimir Klimuk. The two higher education institutions also intend to implement joint research projects, launch exchange programs for students and professors for the sake of scientific research.
The partners have agreed to make up a joint team of researchers for each of the selected area of studies. “We are going to make a list of participants within one month. Then we will put together an exchange program for scientists. Trips to China will be planned and groups from the Nanchang Institute of Technology will come to us, too. The Chinese side is interested in studying methods of ion plasma nitriding, in environmental studies, social and economic stability mechanisms,” explained Vladimir Klimuk.
The Baranovichi State University cooperates with universities in Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Latvia, Czechia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Armenia. The Belarusian university intends to start cooperation with Germany’s Mittweida University of Applied Sciences. The potential partners intend to start preparing a joint application for participation in the international program Erasmus+ in February 2019.
