MINSK, 31 August (BelTA) - Belarusian State University has been included in a new Times Higher Education table of the best research-intensive universities in Eurasia, BelTA learned from THE’s website.
BSU takes 44th position. It is the only Belarusian university on THE’s ranking. Russia’s Lomonosov Moscow State University holds number one spot in THE’s Eurasia ranking. The ranking covers universities from six countries: Russia, Iran, Turkey, Ukraine, Belarus and Georgia.
The table uses the same methodology as the 2018 THE World University Rankings but only the 16 countries in Eurasia are eligible for inclusion. These are: Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, the Republic of Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
