MINSK, 28 August (BelTA) – Belarusian scientists intend to participate in experiments within the framework of the international space project SIRIUS, BelTA learned from Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Sergei Kilin on 28 August.
The official said: “Russian programs, NASA programs intended to resume Moon research, create an orbital station, reach Mars, and projects to prepare people for lengthy voyages will be discussed during the space congress in Minsk. By the way, Belarusians have been invited to come up with their own tasks to participate in the SIRIUS project. These tasks have been sent for consideration to Russia. If everything is okayed, our representative will stage experiments in conditions of lengthy isolation, which model the environment of a spacecraft. We hope that technical aspects of our cooperation will be discussed during the space congress.”
