MINSK, 15 April (BelTA) – Belarusian projects have won two nominations during the first international exhibition and presentation 100 Ideas for CIS in Minsk, BelTA has learned.
The unique way of forging key parts of a collider won the Industrial Technologies and Manufacturing nomination. The author of the project is Alina Marysheva, junior scientific officer and Ph.D. candidate at the Physics Technology Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The project provides for creating a competitive, energy-effective and economically profitable enterprise in Belarus to make quality components for various colliders.
The online service to promote and sell medical tourism services of Belarusian clinics was the best one in the Healthcare, Medical Instruments and Technologies, Pharmaceutics nomination. The project is designed to export more medical services by raising the awareness of foreigners about medical tourism opportunities in Belarus. It will also bolster the country’s healthcare industry prestige internationally and support Belarus’ image as a country with a hi-tech healthcare industry.
A total of 38 unique projects from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia were nominated for the 100 Ideas for CIS contest. Winners of the contest will be able to apply for international grants later on.
The 100 Ideas for CIS contest was the central event of the session of the CIS Youth Affairs Council that took place in Minsk on 14-15 April. Participants of the session summed up results of the 2014-2015 action plan on carrying out the strategy for international youth cooperation of the CIS member states till 2020 and the progress in fulfilling the 2016-2017 action plan. The agenda also included the development of public youth movement, the operation of basic CIS organizations in charge of encouraging youth entrepreneurship and working with youth, the improvement of legal acts in the sphere of youth policy.
