MINSK, 28 December (BelTA) - Belarusian polar explorers sent New Year wishes to compatriots, BelTA learned from the press service of the National Academy of Sciences.
On behalf of the members of the 15th Belarusian Antarctic Expedition, its head Aleksei Gaidashov sent congratulations on the upcoming New Year 2023.
The researchers of the 15th Belarusian Antarctic Expedition conveyed the New Year and Christmas wishes to the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. "We wish you and your loved ones strong polar health and a peaceful sky, great happiness and a lot of positive emotions, new scientific ideas and breakthrough discoveries. Let every day of the New Year bring love and respect, well-being and harmony, warmth and comfort to our homes," the message of greetings reads.
As many as 12 people led by the experienced polar explorer Aleksei Gaidashov have gone to Antarctica this year. The team includes scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (the national center for polar studies, the Physics Institute, the Nature Management Institute, the academy’s Applied Science Center for Bioresources), the Belarusian State University, the National Center for Hydrometeorology, Radioactive Contamination Control, and Environmental Monitoring, and other Belarusian organizations.
