Belarusian players keep positions in WTA, Gerasimov moves 6 spots up in ATP

MINSK, 3 November (BelTA) – Belarus’ leading tennis players have kept their positions in the recently published WTA rankings intact, BelTA has learned.

Aryna Sabalenka goes 11th with 4,045 points, Victoria Azarenka is 13th with 3,426 points, Aliaksandra Sasnovich is 92nd with 798 points.

WTA Top Ten:

1. Ashleigh Barty (Australia) – 8,717 points
2. Simona Halep (Romania) – 7,255
3. Naomi Osaka (Japan) – 5,780 
4. Sofia Kenin (United States) – 5,760
5. Elina Svitolina (Ukraine) – 5,260 
6. Karolina Pliskova (Czech Republic) – 5,205
7. Bianca Andreescu (Canada) – 4,555  
8. Petra Kvitova (Czech Republic) – 4,516
9. Kiki Bertens (Netherlands) – 4,505
10.  Serena Williams (United States) – 4,080

Egor Gerasimov rose up from the 83rd to 77th place (820 points) in the ATP rankings after reaching the 2020 Astana Open quarterfinal last week. Ilya Ivashka  is 115th with 573 points, Uladzimir Ignatik goes 330th with 128 points.
