MINSK, 25 May (BelTA) – The Belarusian publishing projects of 2015 and 2016 will be put on display at the 11th Saint Petersburg International Book Salon to be held from 26 to 29 May, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Information Ministry.
The books published to mark the 500th anniversary of the Belarusian book printing to be celebrated in 2017 and the birth anniversaries of eminent Belarusians will be in the spotlight. The book fair will also showcase Belarusian projects devoted to the Year of Culture in Belarus and the 30th anniversary of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster.
The publishing houses Belarus, Petrus Brovka Belarusian Encyclopedia, Mastatskaya Litaratura, Vysheishaya Shkola, Narodnaya Asveta, Pachatkovaya Shkola, Belovagroup, and Aversev will present their products in Saint Petersburg.
The book fair will offer an eventful program aimed at enhancing the professional skills of publishing industry workers through communication with the leaders of the book publishing market.
More than 300 publishing houses, book distributors, printing companies, producers of audio and video content, libraries, and professional associations from Russia and many other countries take part in the fair annually.
The Belarusian Information Ministry regularly participates in the international book fair in Saint Petersburg to display the newest products of the national publishing industry. Belarus was the guest of honor at the 10th Saint Petersburg International Book Salon in 2015.
