VITEBSK, 22 March (BelTA) – An instrumental duo of students of Shumilino Children’s Art School won the grand prix at the online competitions London Art and Dance and Talants of Berlin, BelTA learned from Nelli Zhavoronkova, a teacher at Shumilino Children’s Art School.
Students Kira Guido and Vitalia Glushneva debuted as a duo at the online art competition London Art and Dance and took the grand prix. They proceeded to win another grand prix at Talants of Berlin.
Both Kira Guido (piano) and Vitalia Glushneva (flute) won various art competitions as solo performers. At London Art and Dance they competed as an instrumental duo against participants from more than ten European and Asian countries. They had to perform one piece up to seven minutes long. The jury assessed musicians’ skills, intonation, artistry, rendition of the piece, and individuality. Teachers Nelli Zhavoronkova and Inna Vorsa who helped the girls prepare for the competitions believe that the jury were impressed with their ensemble skills. They shared that they are already working on a new program for future competitions.
The teachers of the talented duo were also recognized by the organizers of the competitions for their efforts to nurture talents and strengthen international cultural ties.
