Belarusian Gymnastics Association tops FIG ranking list 2015
MINSK, 3 March (BelTA) – The Belarusian Gymnastics Association topped the ranking list of the best national federations in 2015 compiled by the International Gymnastics Federation, BelTA learnt from the Belarusian Gymnastics Association.
The FIG Executive Committee held its ordinary meeting in Lausanne, Switzerland in late February. One of the issues on the agenda was to name the winner of 2015 among the national federations that make part of the International Gymnastics Federation.
The list that was topped by the Belarusian Gymnastics Association also included the federations of the UK, Latvia, Finland, Japan, Hungary, Azerbaijan, the Republic of South Africa, China and Germany.
The FIG ranking list is based on the sum of points awarded for a number of positions such as the participation in FIG competitions, the observance of technical regulations and anti-doping laws, the hosting of events and competitions and the absence of punitive sanctions.
