MINSK, 8 January (BelTA) – An exhibition of modern Belarusian graphics and paintings organized by the Embassy of Belarus in Germany is on show in Greifswald, Germany, BelTA learnt from the Foreign Ministry of Belarus.
The exposition features 27 works of 20 graphic designers from the collection of the Belarusian State Academy of Arts (Raum.by: Grafik project) and 13 paintings of prominent artist, member of the Belarusian Union of Artists Anna Silivonchik.
Counselor at the Belarusian embassy in Germany Alexei Zhbanov took note in his greeting speech of longstanding traditions of the Belarusian graphics and emphasized an important role of art in strengthening peace and mutual understanding between nations.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition included the screening of the video film Belarus: One Day from Life and the animated movie Vytinanka-Vyrazanka.
