MINSK, 30 October (BelTA) – The Belarusian Dranik Fest was held as part of a charity fair traditionally organized in the Chinese capital with support of the Chinese foreign minister’s spouse, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in China.
The Belarusian Embassy annually takes part in the event. Its pavilion attracted a lot of interest this year. Visitors were invited to taste draniki (potato pancakes) and other dishes of the Belarusian national cuisine. The pavilion also displayed Belarusian alcoholic beverages and the goods from crystal glass.
The charity fair has been held since 2009. Organizers invite diplomatic missions and offices of international organizations accredited in China to participate in the event. Funds raised at the fair are donated to charity.
