MOSCOW, 13 December (BelTA) – A Belarusian language, literature, and culture center was opened at premises of the Philology Department of the Lomonosov Moscow State University on 13 December, the press service of the embassy of Belarus in Russia told BelTA.
The center was opened as part of the joint project of the Lomonosov Moscow State University and the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno. The center is going to host various events meant to preserve, develop, and popularize Belarusian language, literature, and culture in Moscow.
Minister-Counselor of the Embassy of Belarus in Russia Yuri Yaroshevich, Prorector for Education of the Grodno State University Gennady Gachko, representatives of the Philology Department Dean’s Office and the Slavonic Philology Chair of the Philology Department of the Moscow State University also took part in the opening ceremony.
