MINSK, 27 October (BelTA) – Young Belarusian artists were among the winners of the 22nd edition of the International Biennale of Children’s and Young People’s Graphic Art in Torun, Poland, one of the most prestigious graphic art competitions, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in Poland.
These are Valeria Zhidovich (13 years old) of the Children's Art School in Grodno and Anastasia Mashkevich (16 years old) of the Borisov Children's Art School.
This year, 4,738 entries from 29 countries were submitted to the contest. Eight entries, two of which were from Belarus, received individual awards. In addition to that, 12 works by the Belarusian artists were selected by the jury for the exhibition that is underway in the Children's Creative Art Center and Gallery in Torun from 21 October to 7 December 2021.
The award ceremony was held in Torun on 21 October. The awards were handed over to representative of the Belarusian Embassy in Poland and will be delivered to the Belarusian artists in the near future.
