MINSK, 17 February (BelTA) – Belarus’ Marina Zuyeva made it into the top ten in mass start at the 2015 ISU World Cup in Heerenveen, the Netherlands, BelTA has learned.
Marina Zuyeva showed the ninth best time of 8:45.25, 7.02 seconds behind the winner, Dutch Irene Schouten. Zuyeva’s teammate Tatiana Mikhailova was disqualified.
Marina Zuyeva was 6th in mass start at the previous World Cup in Hamar, Norway clocking 8:51.25.
In Heerenveen Marina Zuyeva was 14th in the 3,000m event, 12.92seconds behind world champion Martina Sablikova of the Czech Republic. Tatiana Mikhailova was 21st in the 1,500m (2:01.61; 7.34 seconds back).
The ISU 2015 World Cup included medal events in 500m, 1,000m, 1,500m, 3,000m 5,000m, 10,000m, mass start and team races. Partaking in the competitions were athletes from 25 countries. The Netherlands topped the medal table with a total of 17 (5 gold, 7 silver, 5 bronze) medals.
