MINSK, 6 March (BelTA) – Belarusian pastry chefs won the Grand Prix, the People’s Choice Award, five gold, three silver and one bronze at the international competition of confectionary decorations held as part of the international exposition ExpoSweet in Warsaw, Poland, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry.
The Belarusian team comprised the country’s leading confectioners, many-time winners of international competitions, including the World Culinary Olympics (Erfurt, Germany), the Culinary World Cup (Luxembourg), the International Championship of Culinary Art (Minsk), Chef a la Russe (Moscow), the Culinary Art Design Competition (Kiev) and others.

The Grand Prix and the gold medal of the international competition in Warsaw went to Gomelkhlebprom pastry chef Dmitry Antipenko for a mastic composition. The People’s Choice Award and the silver medal were collected by Natalya Sambuk (Orsha Bakery) for a mastic composition, too.

Gold medals also went to Veronika Reznichenko (Molodechno Bakery), Inna Varennikova (Domochai), Nina Yakovchuk (Zhlobin Bakery), Svetlana Aleshkevich (Minskkhlebprom Bakery No.5). Silver medals were claimed by Marina Morozova (Orsha Bakery), Anastasia Gavrilenko (Minskkhlebprom Bakery No.2). Bronze was collected by Aleksandra Lisovets (Minskkhlebprom Bakery No.4).
Taking part in the competition were more than 100 pastry chefs from ten countries.
