MINSK, 18 July (BelTA) – Belarus’ Olga Silkina and Irina Prosentsova claimed gold at the European Modern Pentathlon Championships which kicked off in Hungary on 17 July, BelTA informs.
The Belarusian athletes scored 1,372 points to finish one point ahead of the Irish athletes who placed second. Bronze went to Russia’s Svetlana Lebedeva and Ekaterina Huraskina.
The sport forum in Szekesfehervar will be over on 23 July.
In 2017 the European Modern Pentathlon Championships were hosted by the National Olympic Equestrian Center in Ratomka. Gold was clinched by Anastasia Prokopovich, while bronze medals were collected by Ekaterina Orel and Tatyana Khaldoba.
