MINSK, 20 July (BelTA) - Belarusian decathlete Maksim Andralojt won the decathlon silver medal of the IAAF World U20 Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland, BelTA has learned.
Before the 1500m, which was the tenth event on the program, the Belarusian was leading with 7,389 points. Germany’s Niklas Kaul was just 27 points behind him. The German was able to finish second in the race (4:21.70 seconds) while Maksim Andralojt lost him more than 20 seconds (4:43.65) and thus the first place in the protocol.
Niklas Kaul scored 8,162 points and Maksim Andralojt 8,046 points. Estonia’s Johannes Erm was third with 7,879 points.
