MINSK, 23 October (BelTA) – Belarusian athletes won 14 medals at the 2017 European Championships in Acrobatic Gymnastics in Rzeszow, Poland, BelTA has learned.
Belarus claimed four medals on the final day of the competitions.
Artur Belyakov and Olga Melnik scored 29,440 points to clinch silver in the Mixed Pair Balance event. Marina Chernova and Georgy Pataraya of Russia took gold.
Bronze in the Women’s Group Dynamic went to Karina Sandovich, Yulia Ivonchik and Veronika Nabokina (a total of 28,140 points), who finished behind the UK and Russia.
Oleg Mikhalevich and Maksim Markevich took silver in the Men’s Pair Balance Junior final. Nikita Borisenko, Vladislav Lishov, Artyom Bukhvalov and Roman Makarenko finished third in the Men’s Group Balance final, scoring 25,260 points.
Sports acrobatics will be part of the Second European Games program.
