MINSK, 9 September (BelTA) – Belarusian high jumper Maksim Nedasekau won the event in Ostrava, the Czech Republic, while Elvira Herman claimed the Women’s 100m Hurdles gold and long jumper Nastassia Mironchyk-Ivanova took bronze at the meeting in Dessau, Germany, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Athletics Federation.
Maksim Nedasekau of Belarus kicked off the program of the Golden Spike, a World Athletics Continental Tour Gold meeting in Ostrava, with a victory in the high jump, topping 2.24m. Second was Lithuania’s Andrius Grybauskas (2.20m). Bronze went to Italy’s Gianmarco Tamberi (2.20m).
At the World Athletics Continental Tour meeting in Dessau, Germany Elvira Herman won the Women’s 100m Hurdles in 12.85 seconds. Payton Chadwick of the United States clocked 13 seconds to came in second. Third was Finland’s Lotta Harala (13.19 seconds).
Nastassia Mironchyk-Ivanova reached 6.72m in her fourth attempt to clinch bronze. German Malaika Mihambo won the event with 7.03m. Maryna Bekh-Romanchuk of Ukraine was second with 6.85m.
