MINSK, 6 November (BelTA) – Belarus beat Slovenia 4-3 in a shootout to win the first leg of the Euro Ice Hockey Challenge on 5 November, BelTA has learned.

Roman Graborenko and Pavel Kazakevich scored for Belarus. Mikhail Karnaukhov’s shutout streak was stopped by Anze Ropret at the mark of 145 minutes and 15 seconds.

Artyom Chernikov scored in the shootout to hand his team a victory in the tournament.

Earlier, Belarus blanked France 3-0 and whitewashed Latvia 4-0.
