MINSK, 20 September (BelTA) – The Belarusian team of Alena Nazdrova, Nadzeya Makarchanka, Aliaksandra Kallaur and Volha Klimava won gold in C4 Women 500m event at the 2021 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships in Denmark, BelTA has learned.
Their winning time is 1:48.62. Second was Hungary (1:49.40). Bronze went to Ukraine (1:49.79).
Earlier, Alena Nazdrova placed seventh in C1 Women 200m. Her time is 47.98. The top three in the event included Katie Vincent of Canada (46.52), Antia Jacome of Spain (46.79) and Poland’s Dorota Borowska (46.90).
Belarus’ Aliaksei Misiuchenka finished sixth in K1 Men 200m with the time of 34.78. The champion title in the event went to Andrea Di Liberto of Italy (34.78). Sweden’s Petter Menning came in second in 34.81. Latvia’s Roberts Akmens was third (34.95).
Maksim Piatrou of Belarus placed fifth in C1 men 500m clocking 1:49.35. The event was won by Germany’s Conrad Scheibner (1:46.55). Martin Fuksa of the Czech Republic was second in 1:47.58 and Oleg Tarnovschi of Moldova was third in 1:48.50.
