MINSK, 6 August (BelTA) - Team Belarus consisting of Valery Durovich, Sergei Shkudrov and Viktor Zaremba won the World Logging Championship held in Lillehammer (Norway) on 2-5 August, BelTA learned from the press service of the Forestry Ministry.
Team Belarus led by Vladimir Shut, deputy head of the production and sales department at the Forestry Ministry, scored 4,879 points, 19 points ahead of Germany, to place first in the team overall standings.
Competing in the event were 27 countries
In 2016 Belarus became the world champion for the first time ever. The team defended the title in Lillehammer in 2018.
