MINSK, 7 May (BelTA) – Vera Lapko of Belarus has entered the WTA 100 rankings for the first time in her career. She is currently ranked at number 92, BelTA has learned.

Vera Lapko won the tournament in Russian Khimki at the end of the previous week. This is the fifth victory of 19-year-old Vera Lapko. Prior to the competitions in Khimki the Belarusian placed 111^th in the WTA.

Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus is currently 46^th, Aliaksandra Sasnovich is 58^th, and Victoria Azarenka is 98^th.
