MINSK, 19 September (BelTA) – A Belarus-Uzbekistan educational center has opened at the Nizami Tashkent State Pedagogical University, the Belarusian Embassy in Uzbekistan told BelTA.
The center was established in furtherance of the agreements between the Maksim Tank Belarusian State Pedagogical University and the Nizami Tashkent State Pedagogical University with the assistance of the Belarusian Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Higher and Secondary-Specialized Education of Uzbekistan. Belarus’ Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Uzbekistan Leonid Marinich attended the opening ceremony. The center will be working to enhance the Belarusian-Uzbek cooperation in education and culture.
The parties signed supplementary agreements to the memorandum of cooperation to implement the educational program in logopedics and a joint project as part of the postgraduate distance learning program (inclusive education and sepcial pedagogics).
The Uzbek university hosted a roundtable meeting with the participation of members of leading universities of the two countries. The parties discussed new forms of cooperation in the provision of educational services.
