MINSK, 10 October (BelTA) - Belarus’ State Committee on Science and Technology (SCST) and the Innovation Development Ministry of Uzbekistan have announced a contest of joint research projects for 2019-2020, BelTA learned from the SCST press service.

The contest will focus on the following areas: energy, energy saving, and renewables; medicine, healthcare technologies, pharmacy; nano-biotechnologies; chemical technologies; new materials; information and communication technologies; digital economy; aerospace; robotics; food security; agricultural technologies; environmental management, elimination of the consequences of natural disasters; water management technologies; mining technologies; environmental protection; photonics and laser technologies.

The application documents must include a business plan prepared in accordance with the established procedure and also written obligations of the state customer on the practical use of research and development results and equity participation in financing of the project in the amount of at least 50% of the total funds planned for these purposes. Completed forms should be sent to Belarus’ State Committee on Science and Technology in printed (three copies) and electronic (D-ROM) format.

The contest is held in line with the Belarus-Uzbekistan intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in science of 13 September 2018.
