MINSK, 18 June (BelTA) – The Belarusian film Tum Pabi Dum received a special award of the SCO Film Festival jury, BelTA learned from head of the marketing, sales and advertisement department of Belarusfilm Studio Yuri Igrusha.
Vyacheslav Nikiforov’s film Tum Pabi Dum and four more works of Belarusian cinematographers (Elena Turova's Ryzhik in Wonderland, Alexander Anisimov’s Footprints on the Water, Andrei Kudinenko’s Massacre, and Vera’s Sweet Farewell (Aleksandra Butor) were received very well at the Film Festival of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
Tum Pabi Dum is a family film released in 2017. The film stars Valeriya Arlanova, Pavel Kharlanchuk, Sergei Chekeres, Olga Klebanovich, Aleksei Shedko.
An agreement was reached between Belarusfilm and one of China’s leading corporations, China Film Group Corporation, to import, distribute and promote the Belarusian movie Tum Pabi Dum all over China.
Golden Seagull, the Grand Prix of the first SCO Film Festival, which took place in Qingdao on 13-17 June, went to China’s “Enter the Forbidden City" and “Mina Walking” from Afghanistan.
The festival in Qingdao featured 55 films (23 films took part in the competition program) of 12 countries. The SCO Film Festival is aimed at advancing international communications in cinematography.
The festival included a forum of the SCO film cooperation, a film market, a training program on film production and seminars of the SCO filmmakers. Parties signed agreements on the import of films and cooperation in cinematography, discussed new prospects for cinematographic exchange and cooperation of the SCO countries.
