MINSK, 25 May (BelTA) – Director of the Belarusian travel agency Viapol Galina Potayeva has identified the country’s most popular tourist destinations, BelTA has learned.
According to the source, the towns of Mir and Nesvizh top the list. “It is only natural. Mir and Nesvizh are stars of Belarusian tourism. Even despite complaints about excessive restoration they represent rich museums and, no doubt, the most vivid and important places of interest in Belarus,” she stressed.
Belarus’ top tourism destinations also include the museum of ancient crafts and technologies Dudutki, the World War Two memorial Khatyn, and a sightseeing tour of the city of Minsk. “Those are one-day tours. The tours, which popularity is increasing, are more related to Brest, the Minsk-Brest motorway, and respectively [the national park] Belovezhskaya Pushcha. Interest in Grodno is also strong,” she said.
The travel agency Viapol has been focusing on tours about Belarus for over 24 years already. The company offers tours that allow visiting over 800 places of interest. The company offers about 100 tours as well as 51 tours that last many days. Viapol caters to tourists from over 30 countries.
