MINSK, 22 February (BelTA) – A delegation of Belarus’ Information Ministry will take part in the 18th edition of Vilnius Book Fair which kicks off on 23 February, BelTA has learned from the press service of the ministry.
On the opening day Belarus will present its stand to Lithuanian journalists, guests and participants of the fair. The stand will feature the editions dedicated to Francysk Skaryna and the 500th anniversary of the Belarusian book printing published by the Belarusian state publishing houses (Mastatskaya Litaratura, Belarusian Petrus Brouka Encyclopedia, Narodnaya Asveta, Zviazda, and others).
Another event will be a roundtable discussion Francysk Skaryna and the Origins of the Belarusian book printing in Vilnius Francysk Skaryna gymnasium. The roundtable is a part of the Belarusian national plan to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Belarusian book printing. Belarusian-language books wil be donated to the association of Belarusian public organizations of Lithuania.
The events will be held with support from the Belarusian Embassy to Lithuania.
