MINSK, 30 May (BelTA) – Belarus is gearing up to send its second batch of humanitarian aid to Ukraine, head of the multilateral diplomacy department at the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Larisa Belskaya said at a press conference in Minsk, BelTA informs.
In her words, Belarus, in cooperation with the International Red Cross Committee, provided humanitarian aid to Ukrainian citizens living on both the sides of the conflict line in 2017. The aid, transported by the Belarusian Emergencies Ministry, comprised food products, clothes, medical-care products, cleaning and hygiene goods.
Belarus is a donor country that provides humanitarian assistance to other countries, Larisa Belskaya said. Belarus has so far provided such aid to Vietnam, Ecuador and Syria. Belarus also welcomes Syrian children on recuperation holidays. A new group of Syrian children arrived in Belarus for recuperation two days ago.
