MINSK, 1 September (BelTA) – Belarus’ tourism industry will be presented at Expo Milano 2015 on 11 September, BelTA learned from Yelena Likhimovich, the head of the department for quality and educational and analytical work at the National Tourism Agency of Belarus.
Visitors to the expo will have a chance to dive into the atmosphere of Belarusian safari, taste dishes of the national cuisine, and go on a city break to Minsk. They will also learn about the tours offered in Belarus, the development of MICE tourism and other tourism activities in the country.
A separate section will showcase the tourism potential of the city of Minsk, its advantages and opportunities.
On behalf of Belarus, partaking in the expo will be representatives of the National Tourism Agency, the tourist information center Minsk, travel agencies Smok Travel, Viapol, and others.
The program of Expo Milano 2015 features presentations, negotiations, informal meetings, and Q&A sessions.
Expo Milano, also known as the Universal Exposition, is the biggest international platform to demonstrate technical and technological solutions. It was held in 1851 for the first time. The theme chosen for the 2015 Universal Exposition is Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life. The total area of exposition pavilions will make up over 1.7 million square meters.
