MINSK, 9 November (BelTA) – The Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) will be held in Belarus on 13-19 November, Deputy Director and Co-Founder of BEL.BIZ Anastasia Khomenkova told the media on 9 November, BelTA has learned.

“The Global Entrepreneurship Week will be held for the seventh time in Belarus and for the tenth time worldwide. Today, during the week 170 countries organize events to provide information about the role of entrepreneurs in the development of countries, economies,” Anastasia Khomenkova said.

GovTech Hackathon will kick of the week on 10 November. “Participants will lay out their ideas on the dialogue between business and authorities, the changes to the social environment. The finalists will speak at the 7^th International Entrepreneurship Forum on 13 November,” Anastasia Khomenkova said.

The International Entrepreneurship Forum will feature Belbiz Battle. “We will select a number of winners. These teams will go on a startup tour to London in early 2018,” she said.

Investors Day is scheduled for 14 November. 15 and 16 November will discuss the experience of building VC Ecosystems of Israel and Latvia. An open lecture on blockchain economy will be held on 16 November.

The ceremony to award the winners of the nationwide competition Entrepreneurs of the Year is scheduled for 17 November.

The Global Entrepreneurship Week in Belarus is held with an active support of the Economy Ministry of Belarus and the Development Bank.
