MINSK, 4 May (BelTA) – The Days of Culture of the Republic of Belarus in the People's Republic of China will be held in Beijing from 6 to 8 May, BelTA learned from the Culture Ministry of Belarus.
A ceremony to open the Days of Culture will be held in the Beijing Concert Hall. The concert will feature the Belarusian folk music group Svyata of the Belarusian State Philharmonic, and the soloists of the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater. The program also includes the exhibition of graphic drawings "Brush of Friendship” dedicated to Yakub Kolas’s poetry and “Female Portraits ‘Silver Age’” by Belarusian artist Marina Elyashevich who practices the technique of traditional Chinese ink wash painting.
The Belarusian delegation will discuss with Chinese colleagues the possibility of organizing the Days of Belarusian Cinema in the People's Republic of China, an exhibition from the holdings of the National History Museum, and tours of the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater.
The Days of Belarusian Culture in China will be a significant event in the cultural life of the two countries, will serve as yet another testimony of genuine mutual interest in cultural achievements and of the desire to develop and strengthen mutual cooperation. The Days of Culture is another common contribution to the expansion and strengthening of the friendship between the two countries and peoples, the Culture Ministry of the Republic of Belarus said.
