MINSK, 6 October (BelTA) – Eight participants are representing Belarus at the ISF World Schools Championship Online Chess 2020, BelTA learned from the Telegram channel of the Belarusian Education Ministry.
The championship kicked off on 3 October and will be running through 25 October. It is being held on the virtual competition platform Premium Chess.
The championship features four individual events in two age categories: girls and boys U14 (date of birth 2006-2007) and girls and boys U17 (date of birth 2003-2004-2005). The event consists of the qualifications and finals.
“The championship has brought together representatives of 35 countries and 5 continents. Belarus is represented by eight students,” the ministry noted.
